Just pictures: Fresh tomatoes

Tomatoes freshly grown from my garden become a yummy spicy relish :)

Husband and son loved this recipe and were full of compliments.

  1. Looks delicious, worth saving the recipe for when I hopefully will have an abundance of tomatoes later on in the year.

    1. We have had quite a wet summer (not complaining as the rain is much needed) but my tomatoes haven't done quite as well as a result - but I have had enough to make this and use in cooking all summer. I feel very blessed. I do love the taste of fresh tomatoes.

  5. Wow, yum!! The photos are lovely and the relish sounds delicious!! I love making relishes and pickles and such - I hope we get enough harvest for me to make some from garden produce one of these years! Unfortunately usually our harvest dribbles in and has to be eaten as we go, otherwise it goes bad. But on the other hand, home-grown tomatoes are delicious eaten fresh in a salad or sandwich!

    1. I have just come to the end of my tomatoes - a wonderful crop that lasted 2.5 months. I do prefer home grown tomatoes, they taste so yummy and have the best smell :))
